Taking its name from the CD, the Trombonis
Australis Project has been established by Greg van der Struik to
develop a substantial contribution to brass repertoire through close
collaboration with composers and other performers.
The
Project’s aims are to promote Australian music for brass,
in particular trombone by presenting works in performance, recording
and score format along with providing analyses of the repertoire
for educational and research purposes.
Scores
are sourced directly from composers or from the Australian Music
Centre. Unless marked as being specifically for students or indicating
student use in the title of the piece, all listed works are considered
by the composers as being suitable for advanced student or professional
use. Timings are approximate.
